<p>The Alert App is a companion to the Embrace smartband, providing caregivers with automated alerts when unusual patterns associated with convulsive seizures are detected. </p>

<p>Please note that the Alert App requires a dedicated smartphone with Bluetooth connectivity and is only compatible with the Embrace smartband by Empatica.</p>

<h4>Alert Features:</h4>
<ul>
  <li>Automatic calls and SMS notifications are sent to caregivers when a possible convulsive seizure is detected.</li>
  <li>GPS location can be shared with caregivers when the option is activated.</li>
</ul>

<p>With the Alert App, users can:</p>
<ul>
  <li>Monitor and track seizure frequency.</li>
  <li>Select different caregivers for specific periods of the day (e.g., enabling teachers only during school hours).</li>
  <li>Disable Embrace's lights and vibration when not needed.</li>
  <li>Check Embrace's status, battery, and memory levels.</li>
  <li>Receive prompt notifications for updates and new features.</li>
  <li>Cancel alerts for events that do not require assistance.</li>
</ul>

<h4>Regulatory Information:</h4>
<p>The Embrace smartband is classified as a Class IIa medical device according to EU Directive 93/42/EEC for patients with epilepsy or at risk of epilepsy. In the USA, Embrace is the first FDA-cleared wrist-worn wearable in neurology, indicated for use as an adjunct to seizure monitoring of adults in home or healthcare facilities during rest periods. Please consult the product manual for detailed instructions, warnings, precautions, and potential risks associated with using Embrace.</p>
